The Role

As our Education and Care Manager, you will be an integral part of our Executive Team, ensuring all of our services operate to their highest potential.  Your leadership will guide our committed educators in implementing programs that align with national frameworks and standards, all while promoting a safe and enjoyable environment for children.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a team of educational professionals to inspire and coach educators across our services as they deliver exceptional care and learning experiences

  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance service quality, ensuring compliance with national law, regulations, and quality standards

  • Oversee the Assessment & Rating process, guiding teams through preparation, assessment, and follow-up activity

  • Cultivate strong relationships with families, employees, and the wider community, fostering collaboration and sharing best practice

  • Communicate and embed changes in regulations, standards, and organisational policies

  • Utilise data, financial insights, and market trends to optimise service performance, inform decision-making, and ensure sustainable growth across all centres
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Thrive Group services to strengthen and support remote communities

About You

You are someone who believes every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and inspiring place to learn and grow. With empathy and professionalism, you support educators through both challenges and successes, bringing a deep understanding of early childhood education and a commitment to exceeding quality standards. You communicate with warmth and clarity, building trust with families, staff, and the wider community, and you find joy in mentoring others, sharing best practice, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Above all, you balance regulatory excellence with empathy, ensuring children remain at the centre of every decision. 

You also possess the following qualifications:

  • Hold a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People’s Registration.
  • Diploma in Education and Care (or equivalent)
  • Join us in creating a nurturing environment where each child is supported in their growth and development

Some intrastate travel will be required for this role.
