Your Role as Assistant Administration and Finance Officer

As our Assistant Administration and Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in our Business Services Team. 

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Assist the Financial Accountant with ad hoc reporting, including cash flow reporting and service line budget support.
  • Assist with end-of-month processes, addressing finance queries and transactional matters in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Be the go-to person for all payroll queries.
  • Provide administrative support, such as ordering office supplies and supporting employee onboarding activity.
  • Contribute to identifying process efficiencies in collaboration with the Business Services Manager and Financial Accountant.

Your expertise will ensure all activities are executed efficiently, in line with our organisational policies, and compliant with relevant legislation.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a passionate individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering excellence. If you possess the following qualities, we want to hear from you!

Essential 

  • 1 – 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable and bank reconciliations. 
  • Proficiency using Xero accounting software.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team.
  • Ability to gain Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People’s Registration.

Preferred, but not essential

  • Payroll processing experience.

On-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate, including training in Thrive Group finance systems and the Employment Hero payroll platform where required.
